Titans' Simms acquitted in NY drugged-driving case (AP)

NEW YORK – New royalty City jurors hit guiltless Tennessee Titans backup back Chris Simms in his driving-while-high case.

Simms says he's relieved at the acquittal but angry most being inactive in the prototypal place. Jurors delivered their finding Wednesday after most an hour of deliberations in the misdemeanor case.

The 30-year-old Simms was inactive at a sobriety checkpoint July 1.

A police tar said Simms' SUV smelled of marijuana, and Simms was "zombie"-like and said he'd been respiration the drug. Simms says the tar misunderstood him saying a traveller had been respiration it.

The passenger, Charles Granatell, testified that he preserved pot patch Simms briefly obstructed at another friend's date party.

Simms started his occupation with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2003. His ascendant is former New royalty Giants back Phil Simms.
