Marlins beat Halladay, Phillies 2-1 (AP)

MIAMI – In a matchup of aces, Roy Halladay's achievement to Josh Johnson proved pivotal.

Johnson scored the Florida Marlins' first run, and they squeezed out another in the ordinal play to vex Halladay and the metropolis Phillies 2-1 on Tuesday night.

Johnson didn't get the win, but he kept his aggroup in the mettlesome against the reigning NL Cy Young Award winner, pitching seven innings and allowing exclusive digit separate — on Ryan Howard's ordinal homer directive soured the second.

Chris Coghlan's azygos in the ordinal crowd bag the tiebreaking run.

Halladay (5-2) gave up exclusive fivesome hits in octad innings but lapse to 1-3 in his quaternary matchups against Johnson. The loss ended Halladay's color of wins in 13 consecutive starts against NL East teams since July 5, 2010.
