LOS ANGELES – San Francisco Giants ballplayer Barry Zito has been examined at a infirmary and released after his automobile was hit broadside at a West tone intersection.

The break occurred presently before 8 p.m. weekday at Sunset Boulevard and Sunset Plaza Drive, Los Angeles County Sheriff's spokesman Sgt. carpenter Morien told The Associated Press.

The ballplayer was condemned to a Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where he was examined and released, Deputy Mark Catholic said Thursday.
