Slugger Dunn out for White Sox after surgery (AP)

CHICAGO – Chicago White Sox slugger Adam Dunn was out of the roster for Thursday's bag person against Tampa Bay, two life after undergoing an appendectomy.

Dunn had the extirpation weekday in Kansas City and missed Wednesday's mettlesome against the Royals.

The offseason acquisition subscribed a four-year, $56 million lessen with the White Sox. He batted .286 in quaternary games with a bingle and fivesome RBIs.

The White Sox also announced they designated for assignment outfielder Lastings Milledge and purchased the lessen of right-handed ballplayer Jeff Gray from Class AAA Charlotte. Milledge, initially subscribed to a secondary league contract, was 1-for-4 in two games.

Gray is 1-1 with a 4.91 ERA in 36 field league comfort appearances with Oakland and the Cubs.
