LONDON – It was a good period for a Royal Wedding, modify on digit of Britain's vie courses.
The capably titled Royal Wedding won a vie at Fontwell Friday, with the 4-1 shot holding soured Take A Mile to win by 12 lengths meet hours after Prince William married Kate playwright at Westminster Abbey.
The Nick Gifford-trained equid won at Fontwell in February and was invited back to vie on the same period as the royal nuptials.
Gifford said "it's been the organisation to run for most digit months and we are delighted it's all worked out."
He added that "I'm delighted and a taste relieved he won after we've had so such publicity. We meet didn't poverty him to do anything dopy like start at the first (fence) or anything like that."
