Paralyzed Rutgers player makes public appearance (AP)

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers sport player Eric LeGrand prefabricated his prototypal open appearance since being unfit in a mettlesome against Army more than quaternary months ago.
LeGrand attended a "Laugh to Heal Comedy Fest Fundraiser" for him at the Rutgers Athletic Center on Saturday.
"I meet want to impart everybody for coming out here today and I'm meet going to ready on chopping during my rehab," LeGrand told the gathering of roughly 3,000 who attended the comedy exhibit featuring Rutgers graduate Bill Bellamy.
The circumstance was for the "Eric LeGrand Believe Fund."
Rutgers spokesman Jason Baum did not undergo on Monday how such money was raised over the weekend.
It was LeGrand's ordinal trip to Rutgers since the injury. He also connected his teammates for the prototypal team gathering of the semester in January.
The lowly defensive face has resumed his coursework at Rutgers, connexion via videoconference terminal period for a collection on "Blacks and Economic Structures."
