Spanish federation lifts Contador's one-year ban (Reuters)

MADRID (Reuters) – Three-time Tour de France succeeder Alberto Contador has been cleared to contend after the land cycling federation accepted his appeal and turned a provisional one-year doping ban, his lawyer said on Tuesday.

The 28-year-old Spaniard, who visaged being empty of his 2010 Tour title, was suspended in August after testing constructive for a small turn of the illegal anabolic businessperson clenbuterol during last year's race.
